HUDDLESTON: BE PREPARED


On a recent Sunday night, the Chelan County Sheriff's Office got a call from some people wanting some help out of the Enchantments. But help didn't come. Sheriff's Sergeant Rob Huddleston fills you in on what happened:



It comes down to the old scout motto - “Be Prepared.” That's not only for Boy Scouts, it's for Girl Scouts, too, around the world. In scout handbooks, it refers to, in its words, “having thought out beforehand any accident or situation that might occur, so that you know the right thing to do at the right moment, and are willing to do it.” And not having to rely on others, like the sheriff's office, to come to the rescue when something happens.
