HOUSING TRUST HOLDS OPEN HOUSE WEDNESDAY

There's an open house Wednesday on Iowa Street, right behind the high school. It's a chance for the Chelan Valley Housing Trust to show off its latest completed project: two new homes. Housing Trust Executive Director Scott Meyers:

Now those homes are already spoken for; one will be occupied by a family with two kids, the other by a family with one child. But before they move in, Meyers says they wanted a chance to cut the ribbon and show the community what they've done:

Meyers says the homes cost about 600-thousand dollars each, that's for the land and the construction. But they're selling them for only 330-thousand each. That means the Housing Trust is taking a loss on the deal, but Meyers says that's the plan:

You're invited to the ribbon cutting and open house, tomorrow at 2 pm at 220 Iowa Street, behind the high school.
