HOSPITAL'S MONEY AND STAFFING ISSUES

We heard that EMS call volumes for both Chelan Fire and Rescue and the Manson Fire Department are setting records. Is that being reflected in more business for Lake Chelan Health? We asked that of Lake Chelan Health CEO Aaron Edwards and Board Chair Jordana LaPorte, and they said not really:

LaPorte is also looking for a new commissioner to take the place of Mary Signorelli, who resigned a couple of weeks ago after eleven and a half years on the board. Letters of interest for the position are due at the end of the week, details are available at lakechelanhealth.org. Otherwise, from a staffing viewpoint, Edwards says the hospital is doing OK, but that it could be better:

And LaPorte says new people are needed to take over for those who've been doing it for many years:

The careers section of the Lake Chelan health website lists 30 open positions available for doctors and staffing, again, the website is lakechelanhealth.org.
