We're less than a week away from the start of the 68th session of the Washington State Legislature. 12th District State Senator Brad Hawkins says it should be an interesting 105 days in Olympia:
From a budget standpoint, the revenues to the state are still holding up, but there is uncertainty whether that will continue:
It will also be interesting from a political standpoint, since redistricting has changed the 12th district's boundaries; Hawkins and his state House counterparts, Representatives Mike Steele and Keith Goehner, represent not only Chelan county, but also parts of King and Snohomish counties as well.
