HAWKINS' "LISTENING TOUR"

On the state legislative front, things are picking up ahead of the next session that starts in January. 12th District State Senator Brad Hawkins held his “listening tour” earlier this month, and he says it went well:



As to what the senator heard from constituents, several issues topped the list, including the economy:



Another big issue Hawkins heard about was transportation, which is a big issue, especially in the 12th District's Western Washington area:



Hawkins says constituents are also concerned about education and health care. The Senator says all this helps him craft legislation to be introduced in Olympia when the session starts January 8th.
