ERIN AND BOB ON THE MAYOR'S RACE

The results have not been certified yet, so it's not official, but Chelan City Councilwoman Erin McCardle will be the next mayor of Chelan. And that came up during the comments portion of Tuesday night's City Council meeting. McCardle closed her comments by addressing what she called “the elephant in the room:”

By the way, it was Councilman Tim Hollingsworth who asked which one was the elephant. It's been a close vote count, with McCardle's lead first at 57 votes, then 60 and now as of Tuesday, 62 votes. With 111 votes from all across the county left to count, McCardle's lead is seen as safe.
