COUPLE FLEES TRAFFIC STOP IN EAST WENATCHEE

Law enforcement is on the look out for two suspects who police say drove away from a traffic stop on the Obadashian Bridge last Saturday morning just before 5:30. The two were in a 2004 Cadillac CTS and identified as twenty-two-year-old Echo Burnam and 33 year old Robert Britt, both of East Wenatchee. The pair are accused of felony eluding a police vehicle and rendering criminal assistance.

The incident occurred after East Wenatchee Police stopped the car that had left a house known for drug activity and called for Chelan County Sheriff's K-9 to sniff the car for narcotics, as officers suspected drugs were inside the vehicle. The pair then fled the scene after the K-9 indicated drugs may be present and pursuing officers had to terminate their pursuit in accordance with state law, as according to the law, it didn't fit the criteria for pursuing vehicles. Burnam and Britt are still on the lam and authorities are asking for your help. They were seen driving a 2004 black Cadillac with Washington State Plate BTS5052
