COUNCIL APPROVES DETAILS OF TBD

The Chelan City Council approved what you might call the administrative minutia of the Transportation Benefit district at its meeting Tuesday night, meaning the bylaws and how it will be run and managed. But the council was advised on what the district was designed to do, namely, provide funding for street projects in the city. Public Works Director Jake Youngren:



The council did not act on any funding measures Tuesday night, but on KOZI Wednesday morning, Councilman Brad Chitty said there would likely be something for voters to consider on a future ballot:



At Tuesday's meeting, the council also approved moving ahead with getting money for analysis of City Hall, which the city says is showing the effects of neglect and patchwork upkeep.
