COMMUNITY FOUNDATION AWARDS $65,000

Updated: Jun 21

The Community Foundation of NCW, in collaboration with the Icicle Fund, Thriving Together NCW, and the Methow Valley Fund, has granted $65,000 in Strategic Consulting Grants to thirteen nonprofit organizations in the region.

This marks only the second time these grants have been offered, following a successful pilot program a couple of years ago.

The purpose of these grants is to support the internal organizational health of nonprofits, enabling them to effectively deliver their mission in the community. The foundation's director of community grants, Claire Oatey, emphasizes the importance of investing in strategic planning for long-term growth and sustainability.

Numerous organizations expressed interest in the grants. After reviewing applications and considering the potential impact on each organization and the communities they serve, thirteen groups were chosen. Each of the selected nonprofits will receive a $5,000 consulting grant from the foundation.

The recipients include C6 to Farm, CAFE: The Community for the Advancement of Family Education, Chelan Valley Housing Trust, Chelan Douglas CASA, Common Ground Community Housing Trust, Friends of the Pool (Twisp), Leavenworth Community Farmers Market, Methow Conservancy, Our Valley Our Future, Room One, TREAD (Trails, Recreation, Education, Advocacy, and Development), Wenatchee Pride, and Wenatchee Valley Humane Society.
