CITY LOOKING AT COUNTY PROPERTY

The City of Chelan has been talking with Chelan County housing officials about taking over a piece of property adjacent to the city for use as a housing development. City Councilman Tim Hollingsworth says the city is anxious to begin addressing the city's housing issues in what he calls a more robust way. Hollingsworth says the Chelan Valley Housing Trust's Anderson Road project continues, with the city making progress on getting easements so development can begin.
