CITY COUNCIL OKS VISION AGREEMENT

The Chelan City Council has approved an agreement to start a years-long visioning process for the Chelan Valley.

At its meeting last week, the council OK'd an agreement with the Wenatchee-based group Our Valley, Our Future to engage in community outreach aimed at assisting the Lake Chelan community as it identifies shared community values. City Council member Shari Dietrich:

Our Valley, Our Future Coordinator Steve Maher told the City Council Tuesday night that working on the vision process fills a hole in the OVOF plan done a couple of years ago:

It's expected that other entities and communities will assist in the visioning process; the city expects the process to play a pivotal role in updating the city's comprehensive plan, which is scheduled for completion in 2026.
