In a meeting that lasted less than an hour Tuesday night, the Chelan City Council approved eight action items, including getting the ball rolling on the purchase of the Chelan Butte. The council approved a resolution committing the city to get involved in the project. City Administrator Wade Farris explained the resolution Tuesday night:
The council also approved city staff to negotiate with Chelan County for the purchase of five acres on Boyd Road with development in mind; an agreement with Mears Design Group for designing a new irrigation system for the golf course, something that makes Council Member Erin McArdle happy:
Also approved were new fees for using the golf course, and youth recreation; and an agreement with RH2 Engineering on the Water System Capital Improvement Plan.
