With traffic backups almost becoming a norm in downtown Chelan, particularly on Johnson Street, the city of Chelan is going to have a traffic study done. Mayor Bob Goedde says the city has hired the Transpo Group out of Kirkland to look at the traffic in Chelan:
City Administrator Wade Farris says the results of the study should be in the city's hands sometime this summer. Transpo has done projects in Seattle, analyzing parking options at Seattle Center, and developing solutions for the Washington State Convention Center.
