CHELAN FRUIT TO HELP WITH SEWER FOR ANDERSON ROAD PROJECT

Looks like the City of Chelan and the Chelan Valley Housing Trust will now be able to save a lot of money on sewage line costs for the Anderson Road development project. Chelan City Administrator Wade Farris explains:

The city and the housing trust are also working together on getting grants for infrastructure for the Anderson Road project; City Councilman John Olson says he'd like to see the city collaborate with other non-profits around the valley to get other grants:

Olson said he was shocked when he learned at last weeks Housing Trust Town Hall at the Manson Grange that over the last four years, housing selling prices in the Chelan-Manson area have gone up 65 percent. He also mentioned that there have been no – and that means zero – permits for multi-family housing in the last four years.
