We told you last month about the need to check your smoke alarm and replace it if its ten years old. This is of particular concern to Manson residents, for ten years ago the Manson Fire Department made a push on installing smoke alarms and installed about a thousand of them. Now they're due to be replaced, and Manson Fire Chief Arnold Baker is asking residents who haven't replaced their smoke alarms yet to get in touch with them:
And Chief Baker is reminding you not to be fooled if you push the test button on your smoke alarms:
Baker says the Red Cross in Wenatchee has asked Manson Fire to get the word out that they will replace and help install the new alarms, just give Manson Fire a call at 509-687-3222.
