CF&R FIRE TRUCK FOR SALE

News can come from anywhere – even Facebook. On Friday, we saw a post from Chelan Fire and Rescue; they're looking for a buyer for one of their fire trucks. The department is selling a 1993 Seagrave fire engine for 75-hundred dollars. Chelan Fire and Rescue Chief Brandon Asher explains:

The engine has a current passing pump test, has a pump capacity of 15-hundred gallons per minute, and a 750 gallon tank. It has more than 90-thousand miles on it, and the tires are good. Asher hopes some small fire department somewhere will be interested:

Now, we haven't priced fire engines, so we were curious about what they're asking for it. We thought 75-hundred dollars for a good, if older, fire engine sounded like a steal:

Asher told us he had already received a couple of phone calls and emails expressing interest, and Assistant Chief Shawn Sherman told KOZI Monday morning that the truck has indeed been sold.
