The Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority Commission meets today (Tue), and there are two items on the agenda of note.

First, Port of Chelan Commissioners may decide on a new commissioner for District Three, which includes Chelan. Here's Port Authority Executive Director Jim Kuntz:

Next, Kuntz will be discussing the Chelan Airport Waterline Extension Project, and the need for more money to get it done:

There's already five million dollars lined up for the project, courtesy of 12th District Representative Mike Steele's efforts in the legislature to get that in last year's state budget. The costs have gone up, but Kuntz says getting water to the airport is essential.

Commissioners will also be deciding on an interlocal agreement with the Malaga Water District to move closer to getting work started on a new data center for Microsoft in the Malaga area.
