A body has been found near the Chelan Dam. The body was found Monday afternoon; Chelan Fire and Rescue Chief Brandon Asher says they were contacted by the Chelan County Sheriff's Office to help with the recovery; he says the body was difficult to access off the Chelan Gorge. Rope technicians and a ladder truck responded to make the recovery, about 200 yards below the dam; Asher says the recovery was completed before nightfall Monday. The body is being examined by Chelan County Coroner Wayne Harris. That's all we know, the Sheriff's Office says they won't release any more details until next of kin is notified.
