ACUSED MURDERER'S COMPETENCY EVALUATION DATE MOVED

Authorities are having to delay the competency hearing of the man accused of killing his former girlfriend on Badger Mountain Road back in January.

According to court documents in Douglas County a continuance was granted due to 27 year-old Dalton Parker's refusal to allow or participate in a forensic interview last week. Jail staff says Potter has displayed aggressive behavior, thwarting attempts to have him appear for the evaluation.

Potter's antics are nothing new, as he's been uncooperative in prior court appearances, even speaking out of turn and refusing to answer questions.

The evaluation and examination were filed for last week by Potters attorney due to his frustration to assist the accused in his defense.

A new date has been assigned for the evaluation of Potter's mental health and is expected to be filed no later than March 7th.
