ABOUT THE "WORKING FAMILIES TAX CREDIT"

If you qualify, you could be eligible for up to 12-hundred dollars in the “Working Families Tax Credit.” It's a state program that began this year. Lonnie Walls with the Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council says there are some eligibility requirements:





Now, how much money they'll receive depends on their income level and how many qualifying children they have. Refund amounts range from a minimum of 300 dollars for single applicants with no children, to 12-hundred dollars for married applicants filing jointly with three or more children. Walls says there are a couple of ways to apply for the credit:
