Emergency crews have been working alongside Highway 97A north of Entiat on a rock scaling project which is expected to wrap up today. Lauren Loebsack with the State Department of Transportation says if you're heading through there, be prepared to stop up until 4 pm today (Fri.):

But Loebsack adds that once the work is complete, the risk of rockslides in the area won't go away:
The work is happening around milepost 219 and 220, where a rockslide closed the highway for the better part of two days almost two weeks ago.
