[10/20/16] Methow Valley Board Considers A $2 Million Limited Obligation Bond

Next week Superintendent, Tom Venable, will ask the school board for permission to borrow $2 million to expedite a handful of voter approved projects already scheduled…


Venable said the district plans to pay back the principle on the loan using the Capital Project levy dollars.

Funding allocated through the district’s Budget Development process will be used to pay the interest on the Limited Obligation Bonds…


A public hearing has been scheduled for next Wednesday in advance of the board taking action. The board welcomes comments and or questions from members of the community.

The public hearing is scheduled as part of next Wednesday’s regularly scheduled school board meeting at 5:30 at the district office in Winthrop.
