[9/21/16] Manson Volleyball Continues Win Streak With A 3-1 Set Split Against Soap Lake
The Manson Trojan Volleyball team traveled to Soap Lake Tuesday.
In varsity action- Manson lost the first set 21-25 before coming back and taking the next 3 with scores of 25-17, 25-8 and 25-19.
Leading the Trojans in serves were Alyssa LaMar, who served 31/32 with 5 aces and Maddee Ward, who served 14/16 with 4 aces.
Maddee also led the team with 13 kills and added 5 digs for the night.
Baylee Ward had 12 kills.
Analexis Manjares led the team in digs with 8.
The girls played with high energy and as a team and were able to capitalize on mistakes made by the Eagles- helping to successfully finish several long rallies.
Tuesday’s win puts Manson’s record at 4-0.
In JV- Manson played tough with the Eagles- with several great long rallies and close set scores.
Scores: 23-25, 17-25 and 20-25.
Leading the team were Jasmin Rodriguez, who served 14/15 with 8 aces.
Devyn Smith and Brenda Alonso led the team in kills with 5 each.
Manson plays their next match Thursday against Bridgeport at home. JV starts at 5 and varsity follows.
