This was a very intense game that was ultimately decided by our offensive line anchored by LT-Mason Cameron, LG-Bailey Cameron, C-Marcus Bernardo, RG-Cole Beazley, RT-Donny Vanderholm, and TE-Ramiro Lopez.  The first quarter started well with us gaining over 200 yards on the ground with the strong running of of Cristian Lopez, Mason Walters, and Joe Strecker.  By the end of the first half we accumulated over 300 yards on the ground and a lead of 20-13.

The second half started in much of the same way, with the Trojans marching off 132 yards rushing and 1 TD and our defence holding Soap Lake to 0 points in the 3rd quarter.  We went into the 4th quarter with some pretty good momentum up 28-13.  We then allowed a long scoring drive capped off by their star running back Ruvim Turchik on a 40 yard TD run and followed up by a successful onside kick. But our defense held strong behind an incredible 45-yard pic-6 by Mason Walters. We were able to seal the game in the 4 quarter with the strong play of our offensive line and strong running of our RB’s.  The final score was Manson 44 and Soap Lake 25.

Defensively we were anchored by:

Mason Walters:  1 solo, 2 1st hit, 2 assist, 1 sack, 1 fumble recovery, and 1-45 yard pic 6 INT.

Bailey Cameron:  6 solo, 1 assist, and 1 batted pass

Mason Cameron: 4 solo, 1 1st hit, 1 assist, and 1 sack.

Marcos Sanches:  4 solo, 1 1st hit, and 1 assist

Zack Serafini:  1 solo, 1 assist, and 1 INT.

Cody Amsden: 2 solo, 1 1st hit, 1 assist, and 1 sack.

Bo Charlton:  2 solo, 3 asssits, and 1 sack.

The local support was very appareant and our team definitely fed off of that.  We appreciate all of the fans that attended and look forward to upcoming home games.  Our next game will be in Bridgeport on September 23rd at 7:00PM.  Thank you all that attended.
