[12/31/15] HDCA Executive Director Resigns

CHELAN, WA – The Historic Downtown Chelan Association (HDCA) Board of Directors announced today that Katlyn Straub has officially resigned from her one-year post as executive director, effective December 31, 2015.

In her statement, Katlyn explained that she has taken a position with her alma mater’s Alumni & Field Relations department in St. Louis, MO. She shared, “I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to serve and give back to my downtown. The Main Street Chelan will always be my home and the commu-nity holds a special place in my heart.”
The Board of Directors at the Historic Downtown Chelan Association is currently seeking candidates to fill her position once she has departed. In the interim period, Board President, Libby Manthey, will as-sume the duties and be the contact person.
The Historic Downtown Chelan Association is a non-profit, nationally-accredited Washington State Main Street organization. This year, the HDCA celebrated its tenth year in operation. Utilizing the Main Street Four-Point Approach®, the HDCA offers important services to the downtown core such as work-ing to protect the historic nature of downtown Chelan, providing community events, and partnering with other community organizations in support of various ongoing projects. This approach has been imple-mented in over 1,200 cities and towns in 40 states across the nation with the help of the National Main Street Center and statewide downtown revitalization programs.
