Local performers bring A Christmas Story to the stage in 1940s-style radio hour as it is broadcast live. From the announcer’s authoritative, contained enthusiasm to live sponsor spots and jingles, to the use of period microphones, to the sounds effects crew right there with the actors – the result is a nostalgic evening of entertainment from yesteryear. Eight actors juggle different parts, throwing their voices and racing to different microphones on the stage to re-create Jean Shepherd’s memorable characters in the imaginations of the viewing and listening audience. Local cast to be announced soon!

Experience both performances! The public is invited to be part of the live studio audience at the Numerica Performing Arts Center on December 22 at 7:30pm. Then, a local radio station will rebroadcast the show on Christmas Eve. Must be 5 years or older to be part of the live studio audience.
