What: Learn practical hands-on ideas for how to better connect, correct and empower kids, plus the brain research to back it up! Great for working with all kinds of kids, including foster children and other kids from hard places

Attendees will learn about Trust-Based Relationship Intervention (TBRI), a holistic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children.

Who: Parents, adoptive parents, foster parents, social workers, educators, counselors, coaches, churches, and community members

When: April 7-8, 2017 from 9:00am-5:00pm each day, check-in at 8:30am

Where: Chelan Community Gym Foyer – 317 E Johnson Street

Cost: $20 ($5 discount if you register by Feb 10, 2017), includes workbook and lunch for both days

Continuing Education Credits – 11 credit hours:

  • -For FOSTER FAMILIES: each parent will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of each day. Attendees are responsible for providing the certificate to their agency, and it is at the agency’s discretion whether or not to count participation toward training credits. Wenatchee DSHS office is offering training hours for this simulcast.
  • -For TEACHERS (including teachers, staff, administrators, school counselors, para-professionals, coaches, etc): paperwork and a certificate will be available at the end of each day. Chelan School District is providing credit hours.
  • -For PROFESSIONALS: The National Association of Social Workers and the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) have approved this event for continuing education credits for their licensing requirements after passing a posttest.
