[3/24/22] CCSO And Behavioral Health

Posted in Health, Law Enforcement

It seems like the vast majority of calls the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office responds to deal in some way with behavioral or mental health issues. So the Sheriff’s Office has created a behavioral health unit to respond with sheriff’s deputies. Ana Gonzalez is the behavioral health unit’s program manager:

Gonzalez is one of two people in the behavioral health unit, she says there is usually one in Leavenworth, and one in the Chelan area, and she says they are kept busy:

Gonzalez adds its always a good idea to give them a call if you see someone acting strangely or out of sorts rather than turning away:

She says the sheriff’s office has been totally supportive of the behavioral health program and is happy of the progress of the program.
