26-year old Geoffrey Knapp, of Manson, was arraigned in Chelan County Superior Court yesterday on charges of 2nd degree theft after getting caught red-handed with items stolen from a Halloween Bazaar at Campbell’s Resort, in Chelan.

According to Chelan County’s Sheriff’s Office, Knapp was one of three Campbells employees assigned to clean the conference room after vendors had closed business for the day.

When confronted at his home in Manson, investigators say Knapp admitted to stealing more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from sellers and planned to give them away as gifts.

This isn’t Knapp’s first run in with the law- he is currently awaiting trial on charges of identity theft, 2nd degree theft and forgery for allegedly cashing falsified checks from his former employer.

**This story was corrected to show Knapp’s age as 26 – not 28 as previously reported.
