[2/25/22] Brewster Chamber Disappointed With City’s Use of ARP Funds

The city of Brewster is getting some 600-thousand dollars from the Federal Government, it’s share of money from the American Rescue Plan. But just how it decided to use that money has disappointed the Brewster Chamber of Commerce, and its president, Mike Mauk:

And when Mauk says, “for the city,” he means in beautifying it:

That money will go instead to building a covered shop for the city’s machinery, something that will take all of the 600-thousand dollars, and then some. Mauk says he isn’t angry at anyone on the council, but he does wish there had been some discussion:
