Gavin Seim Assaulted in Ephrata 6/2/2014

Gavin Seim Assaulted in Ephrata after asking for weapons lock box at Courthouse.

Gavin Seim entered a non restricted lobby area of the Grant County Courthouse last week and requested a weapons check or lock box, as legally required in such areas under RCW 9.41.300, so that visitors can safely secure their weapons. Gavin returned his gun to his vehicle then returned to ask about the box. Police were then called by security and Gavin was forcibly searched by the Ephrata Police department.

Videos and details of the incidents can be seen here:

“We cannot allow government to trample liberty.” Says Gavin “It’s not only our right, it’s our duty to challenge lawless behavior. It's time to get legal. From our home towns, to the halls of Congress.”

The entire incident was recorded and has caused a large area discussion about rights and police accountability in Central Washington. At the request of Sheriff Tom Jones Gavin went to see Ephrata Police Chief Mike Warren the next day. When Gavin corrected Chief Warren on the law he was physically removed from the City Hall and criminally trespassed from the property.

After a large public outcry the County has now responded publicly saying they would get into compliance with the law and install a weapons lock box at the courthouse.

Gavin will be attending a Rally next Tuesday along with Yakima County Sheriff candidate Anthony Bosworth and other patriots from around the region to talk about limiting government and holding public officials accountable for their actions.

The Rally will be held at the Grant County Courthouse, 35 C St NW ?Ephrata, WA at 2PM PT on Tues June 3rd.
