Execution remains slow going for the Washington Health Benefit Exchange both on a state and local level.
Website glitches, crashes and miscalculations continue to plague the brand new healthcare system.
So far about 35 thousand Washington residents have signed up for insurance, many of whom qualify for free insurance through a Medicaid expansion that goes into effect in January.
Here in north central Washington the numbers aren’t quite as significant, but that doesn’t mean interest isn’t running high.
Christy Walt, Financial Assistance Manager for Confluence Health, says less than 300 people so far have signed up for the exchange’s insurance through Confluence Health.
