Fishers Could Return To North Cascades 8/30/2013
North Cascades National Park Complex has proposed a plan to reintroduce the Pacific Fisher to Mount Rainier and North Cascades national parks.

Don’t know what a Fisher is? We asked Jeff Lewis, a Carnivore Conservation Biologist with Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, to tell us.

The proposal is modeled largely after a successful fisher reintroduction into the Olympic National Park from 2008-2010.
Lewis says the planning process to reintroduce the Fisher in the Mount Rainier and North Cascades national parks is still in the very early stages.
