Wild Moves To Texas As Killer Bees 5/14/2013
It’s time to say goodbye to the Wild. The North American Hockey League announced today that the Wild will be relocating their team to Hidalgo, Texas and will be playing as the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees.
Team President, Bill Stewart, says he intends to bring Coach Bliss Littler and his staff as part of the relocation- and will be playing out of the State Farm Arena beginning the 2013-2014 season.
The Killer Beees will play in a $20 million multi-purpose complex that will seat 5,500 fans.
Final approval by the USA Hockey Junior council is expected next month.
