Garbage Can Stop Signs To Be Replaced 4/23/2013
The nearly famous garbage can filled stop signs at the intersection of Woodin Avenue and Columbia Street could soon be a thing of the past.

ChelanCity Officials have announced a plan to hire a consultant to help finalize a permanent design- replacing the current eyesore, that Chelan City Administrator, Paul Schmidt says was intended to serve as a pilot project.

Mayor Bob Goedde agrees, adding that the 3-way stop configuration has proven successful- however, the garbage cans need to go.

City officials expect the Chelan City Council to select a consultant for that three way stop sign project during their next council meeting, which is scheduled for this Thursday, at 6pm in council chambers at city hall.
