Brewster Considers Options To Heat Pool 3/27/2013
The City of Brewster is searching for a way to heat their City Pool without emptying their pocket book after paying nearly 60 percent of their power bill to overage surcharges in 2012.

Brewster Mayor, Lee Webster, says Okanogan County PUD has increased their usage fees over the past two years to a point that the City is now forced to consider other options.

Webster says the City has already instituted some energy saving tactics and will continue exploring additional alternatives.

With just two months until the pool is set to open for the season, the council is on a strict timeline to make any energy conservations for this coming summer.

The Council will meet again at 6PM on Wednesday April 10th to continue the discussion for the City run pool.
