Commissioners Attend NACO DC Conference 3/15/2013
ChelanCounty Commissioners recently returned home from a journey to WashingtonDC to participate in an annual National Association of Counties (NACo) conference.

The conference brings more than 2 thousand elected and appointed county officials from across the country to focus on legislative issues facing county government.

ChelanCounty Commissioner, Doug England, says one of the key issues this year was the federal funding of public schools.

Commissioner England told KOZI that he, along with the other chelan county commissioners, came home with one very clear message.

The National Association of Counties is the only national organization that represents the nation’s more than 3 thousand counties
