Firefighters Get Called Back To Training Burn 3/12/2013
Chelan Fire and Rescue received a double dose of training over the weekend, after a training burn continued to smolder, prompting a second visit to the controlled burn of a warehouse on Azwell Road.
 
District 7 Fire Chief, Tim Lemon, says the live burn exercise is meant to help train firefighters – adding that the department works closely with the landowners to organize the event.
 
Despite the call back – Lemon says safety is always the biggest concern – and the live burn exercise last weekend went off without a hitch.
