Methow Valley School District Superintendent, Mark Wenzel, has announced his resignation after accepting a Superintendent position with the AnacortesSchool District.
Wenzel, who has been with the MethowSchool District for five years, says the decision to leave did not come easily.
The School board is now charged with finding a replacement; a process that Wenzel says will begin after the school board meeting tomorrow.
Wenzel will begin his new position with the AnacortesSchool District on July 1st. The district has about 2,600 students in Kindergarten through 12th grade- about five times more than in the MethowValleySchool District.
