Bridgeport Passes Housing Ordinance 3/8/2013
An ordinance amending Title 17 of the municipal code was passed during the last Bridgeport City Council, and will allow existing structures in the Central Business District to be converted to residential use.
 
According to Bridgeport Mayor, Marilyn Lynn, the ordinance stems from the over abundance of empty buildings inside the city limits.
 
Mayor Lyn n adds that the ordinance was accepted through a conditional use permit- which will require certain specifications.
