MOE's Sarah Freeman Wins Spelling Bee 2/26/2013
The Lake Chelan School District Spelling Bee took place earlier this month – with the top two spellers earning a spot to compete at the regional level next month.

Champion Sarah Freeman, a fifth grader at Morgan Owings Elementary – and Runner Up Aiden Peterson- who is a 4th grader at Morgan Owings Elementary.

Sarah, who says this will be her first time competing at the Regional Level, gives us an idea of her experience being crowned the champion speller.

Aiden is also excited to compete at the next level – and remembers the words that earned him the runner up spot.

Two students from each registered school will compete in the North Central Washington Regional Spelling Bee, which is sponsored by the Washington Apple Education Foundation and will be held on Thursday, March 21st at Eastmont Junior High Auditorium.
