The bulk the last Chelan City Council meeting focused on suicide Prevention – prompting council members to strongly consider a recommendation that would have all city officials and staff taking a suicide prevention class.

 

City Administrator, Paul Schmidt, says last week’s presentation was facilitated by Dr. Julie Rickard, of Columbia Valley Community Health- who helped establish the Suicide Prevention Coalition of North Central Washington.

 

The Chelan City Council meets again this Thursday, February 28th at 6PM in Council Chambers on Johnson Ave.
