Nominations for the Hometown Hero awards will be accepted until one week from today as the American Red Cross gears up for their fourth annual event.
Marriah Thornock, Executive Director of the Apple Valley Chapter of The American Red Cross, says the celebration highlights the courageous acts by community members throughout the past year.
Nominations are accepted all year, but Thornock says the deadline for this time around is Friday, February 15th.
This year’s Hometown Heroes celebration will be held March 28th at the WenatcheeConvention Center with a social at 5pm and the program at 6pm.
Thornock adds that when it comes to nominations for the awards, the Red Cross takes the “More the Merrier” stance.
