County Battles Fruit Pests At Local Level 1/30/2013
ChelanCounty Commissioners heard a report this week from the pest board- who pinpointed a few key problem areas in the county.
 
According to Commissioner, Doug England, one of those trouble spots is in the ChelanValley.
 
The pest board also revealed trouble with Apple Maggots in the Leavenworth region, which for now is restricted to that area alone.
 
The codling moth, as well as Cherry Fruit flies are both manageable: the codling moth by use of insecticides and the cherry fruit fly with traps.
