Firefighters Make Quick Work Of Barn Fire 1/23/2013
District 6 Firefighters from Twisp and Winthrop, along with AeroMethow, knocked down a small fire- saving a barn and its contents, just south of Twisp on Highway 153 yesterday morning.
 
Keith Comstock, Division Chief with Okanogan County Fire District 6, tells KOZI that 14 personnel with 2 engines and 2 water tenders responded to a call shortly before 8AM of a possible structure fire.
 
Okanogan County Fire District 6 continues to operate under a mutual aid agreement with the Town of Twisp, as a Fire Contract for service has yet to be finalized.
