Hurst Construction LLC, of Wenatchee was awarded the bid by Chelan City Council to construct the sewer lid lift station for $1.4 million, which is $300 thousand less than the engineers estimate.

 

The project will spotlight Pump Station 2- located on the south side of the WoodinAvenueBridge, and, according to Mayor Bob Goedde, the project is designed to eliminate the current odor issue.

 

The project is expected to be completed by the end of May, with Gray & Osborne Engineering contracted to oversee the construction.
