The Chelan City Council gave Washington State Department of Transportation the go ahead in seeking funding for the SR 150/No See-Um intersection project moving forward into the Legislative Session.
The council first heard a special presentation from WSDOT on the project, before giving them their feedback and ultimately their nod of approval to move on to the next step.
Chelan Mayor, Bob Goedde, says when it comes to paying for the project, it’s a ‘now or maybe never’ situation.
Voting against the idea to have WSDOT seek funding for the project were: Mike Steele and Erin McCardle.
Mayor Goedde admits that there was some concerns from several council members surrounding how the funding for the project would work.
As for Mayor Goedde- he tells KOZI that although he may not be a big fan of the project, he is going to support he council’s decision.
Tune in to KOZI tomorrow – we will look at more of the agenda items that were on last week’s Chelan City Council meeting.
