At their last school board meeting of 2012, the Manson School Board passed resolutions to include two levies on the upcoming February 2013 ballot. A replacement Maintenance and Operation levy, as well as a capitol levy.
The Maintenance & Operations levy is a standard 2-year levy to replace the current levy that expires at the end of 2013.
Manson Superintendent, Matt Chartlton, says money from that levy will fund a number of things.
The capitol levy is for minor construction projects and is typically used by school districts in lieu of a bond, when there is no need for significant construction.
Charlton says the district has a current bond that is set to be paid in full at the end of 2013.
Ballots are expected to be sent to votes by mail around January 24th with Election Day set for February 12th.
