Link Transit will be hosting public meetings in an effort to gather feedback surrounding a number of proposed changes to transit service planned for later this year.
The changes range from eliminating some rural services, changing the way service is provided to some communities and adding service to some routes. If approved by Link Transit’s Board of Directors, these changes will go into effect on July 1st.
Link Transit Marketing Coordinator, Eric West, says one of those proposed changes is to Route 31- between Chelan and Manson.
Public hearings will be held throughout January, and West expects to hold a meeting in Chelan towards the end of the month, although an exact date has not yet been set.
He encourages the public to visit the website at linktransit.com to learn more about the routes that could be changed.
Other proposed changes include the Wenatchee and East Wenatchee Trolleys, Olds Station to Cashmere as well as Leavenworth to Plain and LakeWenatchee.
KOZI will bring you details on the Chelan area public meeting as soon as we know more.
