ChelanSchool District is seeing the benefits of the newly implemented school-community liaisons, who focus on developing meaningful partnerships with local businesses, civic and social organizations as well as community agencies.

 

The liaison positions are the result of a the public forum held by Chelan School District more than a year ago- when it became apparent that the community wanted to see a focus on students who face barriers that compromise their ability to learn, putting them at an increased risk.

 

Chelan Superintendent, Rob Manahan, says the district hired Sarah Barnes and Addie Velasco to meet those specific challenges.

 

The ChelanSchool District will hold their first meeting of 2013 at 6PM next Tuesday, January 8th.
